TechSavvy Article: The Invisible Foundation of EV Charging

"What we like to tell ourselves is that in five years we'll play a critical role for the entire EV industry. If we succeed, no one will know us – only the operators."

These were Mikkel's closing words from an interview with Erik Lillelund from TechSavvy Media, who has written a very nice portrait of Lumina.

The Invisible Foundation

And those words are true. Because it's an interesting situation we find ourselves in, when those who will experience the effect of our product on a daily basis are not our end customers. But that's the reality for us, which we think is extra fun.

Because when everything works at some point, charging your car without problems becomes, fortunately, just everyday life. And that's what we're aiming for with our solution.

Right now, only about 90 percent of charging sessions on public charging stations are completed without technical faults. If you compare that to a gas station, it would be equivalent to every tenth driver experiencing problems - and that's something no one would accept.

The Future

Our ambition is clear: to become the invisible foundation that makes EV charging as reliable as traditional fuel stations.

But the operators will know. They'll see the difference in their network performance, reduced downtime, and improved customer satisfaction. That's our measure of success.
